THIS COURSE IS LIMITED TO TWO STUDENTS
IF YOU WISH TO BOOK WITH A FRIEND, PARTNER OR CHILD (10 YEARS+) AND MAKE ONE KNIFE TOGETHER THE COURSE PRICE REMAINS THE SAME. IF BOTH PEOPLE WOULD LIKE TO MAKE THEIR OWN KNIFE, CHANGE THE QUANTITY TO “2” WHEN YOU’RE ADDING THIS COURSE TO YOUR CART.
YOU MUST BE 18+ YEARS OLD TO ATTEND THIS COURSE AND 10+ YEARS OLD IF ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.
OUTCOME:
Learn the fundamentals of bladesmithing a knife up to 8-13” using 1/4” thick 80CRV2 high carbon steel. Choose from a variety of handle colours made of G10.
Length:
- 8 Hours per Day
- 2 Days
Requirements:
Participant must agree to and sign a waiver. Participant must also wear leather or steel toe boots.
Learn about:
- high carbon steel
- different types of grinds and their purposes
- heat treating
Learn how to:
- forge a knife to a rough shape
- grind edge bevels
- polish blade on a belt grinder
- construct a handle
- sharpen your knife
- make a kydex sheath (if time permits)
Length:
