THERE WILL BE NO FORGING IN THIS COURSE. STUDENTS WILL CHOOSE FROM THREE DIFFERENT PRE HEAT TREATED KNIFE BLANKS AND LEARN ALL THE STEPS ON HOW TO FINISH IT.

IF YOU WISH TO BOOK WITH A FRIEND, PARTNER OR CHILD (10 YEARS+) AND MAKE ONE KNIFE TOGETHER THE COURSE PRICE REMAINS THE SAME. IF BOTH PEOPLE WOULD LIKE TO MAKE THEIR OWN KNIFE, CHANGE THE QUANTITY TO “2” WHEN YOU’RE ADDING THIS COURSE TO YOUR CART.

YOU MUST BE 18+ YEARS OLD TO ATTEND THIS COURSE AND 10+ YEARS OLD IF ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.

OUTCOME:
Learn the fundamentals of making a pre heat treated knife using 1/4” thick 80CRV2 high carbon steel. Choose from a variety of handle colours made of G10.

Requirements:
Participant must agree to and sign a waiver. Participant must also wear leather or steel toe boots.

- different types of grinds and their purposes

Learn how to:
- grind edge bevels
- polish blade on a belt grinder
- construct a handle
- sharpen your knife
- make a kydex sheath (if time permits)
